Early Morning Talk on 31 October 2003 OM OM OM Sarva mangala sive sarvarthasadike Srishti stithi vinashanam Saranagatta dinarta paritrana parayane Jagadhatri raja rajeshwari bhava tharini maha bhavani OM Iswari maheshwari sarvashwari pahiman Rajeshwari mateshwari sarvaeshwari pahimam Iswari maheshwari sarvashwari pahiman Ishwari maheshwari sarveshwari namah OM Ishwari maheshwari sarveshwari namah OM Iswari maheshwari sarvashwari pahiman Rajarajeswari rajarajeshwari rajarajeshwari pahimam Rajeshwari mateshwari sarveshwari namah OM Harih OM * * * Worshipful homage unto the All Supreme Reality who art the beginning, the Commencement and the Ultimate Subsidence and the Conclusion of all existence. Existence itself, is from Thee. It arises from Thee and Existence itself, finds its ultimate conclusion in Thee. Thou art very Existence of existence itself. Thou art existence as well as non-existence, and Thou art beyond existence and beyond non-existence; Infinite. Thou art Unutterable, Ungraspable, and Imponderable. Human thought cannot think of Thee. Human language, cannot express Thou who art beyond all limited factors, finite factors and principles. To Thee, the Truth of truths; the Reality of realities, worshipful homage. May you reside in the hearts of all sincere Sadhakas and seekers, aspirants for realisation. Adorations and prostrations to Worshipful and Beloved Holy Master Gurudev
Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, who after himself having realised what
our revered and beloved Sri Swami Brahmanandaji Maharaj expressed as,
‘The Unrealisable’. He wrote a book, ‘The Realisation
of The Ever Real’. If a thing is ‘ever realised’, there
cannot arise any question of realising it because it is already realised.
Therefore, in one way it is unrealizable at all. Unrealisable in the sense,
not in the sense that it cannot be realised, but, Unrealisable in the
sense that as it is ever realised, the question of re-realisation does
not arise. It is already there. Worshipful Sri Swami Krishnanandaji Maharaj wrote, ‘Realisation of the Absolute’. Worshipful Sri Swami Brahmanandaji Maharaj wrote, ‘Realisation of the Ever Realised’. How do you translate the term; ’realisation’? If it is already real, you cannot further realise it. You cannot make it real - realised is making something real. Utilised is making use of something; chastise is correcting someone. How do you exactly translate the term ‘absolute’? You are absolutely marvelous, absolutely perfect. Holy Master wrote three hundred books, a sage and seer of Pondicherry in South India, wrote two. A follower of Prophet Zoroaster, who called the Ultimate Reality, ‘Ahura Mazda’, they have a big scripture on it. There are people who follow the Quaran, why they call it the ‘Sharrif’, I cannot understand, it is called the Quaran. The Buddhists have got their own scriptures. The Old Testament is a big book. Then of course, you have the book of laws and rules and everything. It is the Neo-Judaic people, followers of Judaism, after the birth of Jesus the Christ, who had only a very small scripture, a very small scripture. Written by four devout followers of his. Mark, Luke, Matthew and John, but, they inherited all the scriptures of the Jews. The Jains have their own scripture. Similarly, there are scriptures for Tao and Shintoism must be having their own scriptures. We are not very familiar with it because of the language barrier. Some attempts have been made at translating, not by people of other languages, but by Japanese who themselves have got educated in English. They have translated them into English and once a thing gets translated into English, it gets translated into all the languages of the world due to fact of history, not ancient history but recent history. Because before this English came, in medieval times, there was Old English. If you try to understand it, you will not understand. This was by the Anglo Saxons. Thus, all the religions of the world have got their scriptures. Gurudev created a vast literature of our own times. He was a ‘Contemporary Prophet’. As the honey bees collect the flower nectar from every one of the flowers, of ever so many different varieties, and ultimately makes available for us, honey that is nourishing, in that same manner, Gurudev delved deeply into the wisdom that existed in his own time and took out the nectar from within. From every source and then, produced a Sivananda Literature of his own. If you regard all the different books of his, each book has one chapter, then, a sizeable tome would be visible. Then that would be the scripture, the outcome of the realisation, of the experience of the Prophet who was Sivananda, who is Sivananda even know though beyond the body. He is Sivananda ‘sans corpora’ even now, this moment is proof positive. Those who are gathered together here, we ourselves prove it. And we are constituted of the wisdom that you opt and that he offered to the whole contemporary world. Whether you apply it or not, he cannot do anything about it. Whether you benefit out of it, whether you apply it day and night, that is upto each one of us. But, we have imbibed his teachings, we know, we have thought about it. But whether we are living it, applying it day to day, no one else can declare, we have ourselves to declare. Not only to declare but we have ourselves to demonstrate, that is our duty. We can only proclaim it as, “I have imbibed them and I am applying it in my daily life. I am trying to live in accordance with those great caustic old dictates”. Each one of us has to delve within, find out and then proclaim and declare. And if it is an affirmative and positive declaration, there should be oneness. Thus we are fortunate that this facility is available to us because he preceded us in life and we follow after him, he becomes the discoverer and we become the inheritor. Thus as inheritors, we should not be like prodigal sons but we should be like good sons. There is a parable of many talents being given to three or four servants by a master before he went upon a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, when he came back he asked, I have given you something when I went, how have you utilized it? What answer did each servants give? In accordance with that the master will judge. You were saying that God has gifted us with many talent. If each talent is used for a specific means, they are being used in a general sense. We have numerous talents, it is for us to make use of them in a right positive, constructive, creative, profitable way and benefit ourselves and thus, benefit to live and benefit others. May God and Gurudev help us to do the right thing in this regards. May God bless you all. Om shakti Om shakti OM shakti Om Om shakti Om shakti OM shakti Om Om Namo Narayanaya, Om Namo Narayanaya, Om Namo Narayanaya |
