Swami Sivananda was a great believer in education as a means of lifting able and deserving students out of poverty. The Divine Life Society has therefore allotted funds each year for providing scholarships for both boys and girls from the local area from kindergarten up to college level. Last year over 1,060 students were awarded scholarships to assist them in paying their school fees and for their books and personal upkeep. |
