H.H. Sri Swami Vimalananda, a senior monk of the Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, has been elected as the Chairman of the Divine Life Trust Society and ex-officio President of the Divine Life Society with effect from 28th September 2008.
Sri Swami Vimalanandaji conveys his warm greetings to all and offers his prayers to Lord Viswanath, Most Worshipful H.H. Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj and Worshipful H.H. Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj for the welfare of all devotees, members and well-wishers of the Divine Life Society. May the choicest blessings and benedictions of Sadgurudev be upon one and all.
Sri Swami Vimalanandaji seeks and prays for the blessings and good-wishes of all devotees worldwide so that he may continue to serve the Holy institution founded by Holy Master Swami Sivananda and spread the message of Divine Life.
Sri Swami Vimalananda (Pre-monastically known as Sri S. Nagarajan) was born to pious Brahmin parents, in Chamarajanagar, near Mysore, Karnataka in the year 1932. As a spiritual aspirant he offered himself at the holy feet of Swami Sivananda in the year 1953. He served the Holy Master for almost 10 years. After Gurudev attained Mahasamadhi, Swamiji was serving Worshipful Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj as his personal attendant and secretary. He was initiated into the Holy order of Sannyasa by Worshipful H.H. Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj on the Sacred Guru Purnima, 26th July 1972. He was appointed as General Secretary of the Divine Life Society on 28th June 2004, and was serving the Society in that capacity till he was elected as President.
Swamiji Maharaj requests all concerned that all correspondences (all letters money-orders, Bank Drafts, Cheques, Parcels, etc.) relating to the Divine Life Society Headquarters may be sent to “The General Secretary, the Divine Life Society, Shivanandanagar-249 192, Tehri-Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India”. They should not be in anyone’s personal name. However, matters that are purely personal can be addressed to Sri Swami Vimalananda, President, the Divine Life Society, Shivanandanagar – 249 192, Uttarakhand, India.
